The Bahria Town management has encouraged its members to either purchase plots or commence with the construction work on their houses, workplaces or commercial plazas in order to avail the government’s construction relief package. Now that the income tax law has been amended, construction of a project is allowed under these conditions:
The plot being constructed is purchased on or before December 31, 2020.
The development work is completed before September 30, 2022.
The development work on the plot is initiated on or before December 31, 2020.
The plot price is paid through banks on or before December 31, 2020.
The buyer is registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
To help people get registered with the FBR, Bahria Town has set up desk counters in society offices for the benefit of its members. Moreover, the administration has requested Bahria Town members to pay their dues and acquire property possessions in order to benefit from the relief package.
