So how many have actually visited the site on ground?
Yes, the base work of 4-lane road has almost been done for 6 km part. The only positive point.
But what about work for bridges on water channels/nullahs coming downstream from Margalla Hills? Please note that it is being claimed that carpeting/finishing of this 6 km part can be done in two weeks.
Without bridges! What will be its use?
Any work regarding overhead bridge on railway track?
Land acquisition status of the crucial link near D-12 (only 2 km part of M.A)?

Any budget allocated to this project .what does CDA officially says about this project.
Why do you think CDA will make MA without developing its C-14, C-13, C-15 sectors ? What value it will bring for CDA ?
The reality is ... Forget about MA for another few decades :)
If someone thinks CDA will make MA just for B-17, then he is living in a fools paradise.
Whatever the reason might be. The ground reality is that almost 60-70% of MA is complete. CDA has allocated funds in the recent budget for it also.
Yes funds are allocated in the coming financial year national budget.
It is not a priority for the PML-N government but it cannot be delayed for too long. Generally, roads take time to complete in Islamabad. The Ibne Sina road in front of PIMS took 5-6 years to be made two way in shaukat Aziz government.
But we cannot compare Mian sahab with Shaukat Aziz. If moan sahab decides something then you cannot stop him.

I guess as soon as present Govt gets a chance to get all credit for this road, they will quickly jump in for having another medal on chest and complete the road.
Its just that they slow down a project, making it seem dead and suddenly kick jump start it.
Remember Rawat airport and than finally returning to present Top City Airport ( Pun Intended )
Yes i agree , start of work on M.A is itself a big news.
It is almost unbelievable that so much work has been done on a road which has been delayed for almost 30 ~ 40 years.
But why there is nobody to see this injustice?
only B-17 is not to get advantage.
there is lot of general and commercial traffic coming from KPK, taxila side to islamabad.
So short route to islamabad for people of wah, taxila and KPK, will not only save time but also the fuel consumed.
it seems that in public/government media it is almost prohibited to discuss/talk about margalla avenue.
i think it is not matter of budget or even cda doesnot has actual authority to decide about completing the M.A.
@ sheikh sb , you are delaying M.A too much , you said few decades. You know it has already been late for few decades, study some old master plans of islamabad

you said 60 ~ 70% work is completed. It seems that you didnt noticed that, civil work on any of bridges on nallahs from margalla hills and railway track has not been carried out. So minus these bridges progress would become 30%.
This is excellent news for B-17 investors … IF this actually transpires

This sounds like a different road than Margalla avenue ?
Yes Zafar bhai… Margalla Road is already there and its a different road serving E series sectors but it is not on Margalla Hills side, it is on the other side of the sectors. So what they might do is bring MA till D-12 and then link it with Margalla Road for now.
