Plot transfers without scrutiny committee’s approval not allowed: cda

The cda recently decided that all plot transfers in the city would be subject to the scrutiny committee’s approval. Apparently, the authority’s land directorate officials were found to have been involved in fraudulent plot transfers in various prominent areas of the city (including the d-13, e-13 and i-12 sectors).
The accused officials had been using back dates and fake signatures to commit their crimes — with legal action having been launched against the suspects (without much positive results). In addition, a scrutiny committee was formed in order to ensure the authenticity of documents before approving the transfer of plots. The committee is expected to issue an ndc to valid cases within 28 days.

Now, as marvellous as it sounds that the cda is righting its own wrongs, one does wonder why the wakeup call is always so late (as many as 300 plot transfers to favoured parties late!). Does anybody here have a cda story to tell?
