The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made it mandatory for developers and builders to register with the board by December 31 – in order to benefit from the construction sector amnesty scheme. The board has also made it clear that projects declared under the scheme must be completed by September 30, 2022.
In case of failure to meet this deadline, the developers and builders would lose the amenity scheme’s benefits for the said project.
On the other hand, the FBR has further clarified that the construction sector amnesty scheme does not apply to renovation projects. The board has also allowed a temporary registration for the scheme, until the developer or builders submits the missing documents.
