Excise Rawalpindi abolishes residential property tax for 3 months

Different sectors have introduced various measures to provide relief to the public during the ongoing crises caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, the Rawalpindi Excise department waived off residential property tax in the city for the months of March, April, and May.

Additionally, the excise department has notified the same relaxation for commercial units in the city. These measures will greatly help the public as the country enters the inevitable economic slowdown due to the virus spread.

However, the Rawalpindi Excise department will still collect luxury tax on high-end properties – payable in instalments. Those paying in one go will be able to benefit from discount offers. More details on this initiative will be available soon.

The excise department has further stated that it will commence with the routine collection of commercial and residential property taxes from June 1 onwards.
