No updates for time being. Societies on chakri road will be most beneficial.
The project was handed over to Communication and Work department in Oct 2017 to execute the project but after that no news in media. It is a must needed project for twin cities but government does not look serious about the project.
HRL have also launched a capital Smart City Project Near Thailian Interchange.This Project will also be heavily Relying on Rawalpindi Ring Road which is going to Join Motorway at Thalian. Most Probably HRL might have some insight to the Project as they have Launched their Project accordingly.
In fact all of the project in Chakri area near airport are relying on Rawalpindi Ring Road for such a long time. Lets see if the dream comes true for the.

On 3rd January Ministry has sent a letter to AIIB to provide financial support of around 400 million dollars for Rawalpindi ring road. Previously they have shown some interest in this project.
