If I buy a commercial plot of 10 Marla - does anybody know how many shops I can get per floor. I just want to know on average so I can make a few calculations.

It really depends upon how the structure is designed and also on the dimensions of the plot.
The standard for a shop is to have a 10 feet front. The length can vary. So for a 10 marla commercial with dimensions 30*75, you could get 6 to 7 shops with a length of 30 feet on each floor plus room for stairs to upper floors. A good architect can help you utilize the space in best way possible.
