very well said brother Ilyas,
Bangladesh doesn't have space to breath even, forget about anything else to compere , we have big potential in tourism alone, but the country was in the hands of monkeys for so long and unfortunately they never see this country as a place for their generations to live.
Off topic, we are going this summer vacation to see first time in life the great mountains of Karakuram and Himalaya in reality and beautiful valleys of Gilgit with the guided tour and you will not believe the tour operator was suggested by one of my foreign friend, after knowing more about this trip I really felt ashamed that we run here and there to other countries for vacations every year and never seen the real worth of our own country our self, forget about promoting to others. .
BD or for that sake any other super power or failed state have nothing to do with the increasing mess that we need to sort out first.
Reality doesnt change that BD economy at the moment is way stronger then ours, as we type. Evan many Pakistani industrialists are shifting their industries to BD.
Reality does not change a bit, only way forward is to sort out our mess then we can happily and with a pride can make such claims about others!
Remotely relevant: in 70 same narrative was promoted that a BDeshi being an inferior being never deserves to rule the country even if their guy gets all the majority. BD despite being geo-isolated from PAK in 47 opted to go with PAK and in mere 22 yrs same narrative got them find their own way.
Imtiaz Bhai, how to clear our mess, by spreading disappointments and negativity?
do we have any single positiveness and certainty towards our country, the reason of dollar hike apart from we have huge depts to pay is that we are disappointed and hopeless, no trust that his/her investment will be safe, forget about expat Pakistanis, even locals are buying dollars and avoiding any investment.
This phenomena will be recovered soon, Inshallah.
I am EXTREMELY CURIOUS to know the meeting result of the Islooo 1’s future Great leaders, THE SHARMEELI AND THE SHARMEELA… ohhhhhhh Dear islooo 1…
Waiting for the times when our nation will be more curious about our top guy narrating the Fiscal Policies and Ongoing Budget.
Sharmeeli & Bhutto-Zaradari are no body as far as state policy but their meetings are good distractions to be exploited by our PM Niazi...
National Priorities.... Do matter
Hahahahaha “Sharmeeli and Sharmeela” magar phir bhi sharam nahi ati.
@Ilyas, on your previous post on Bengali progress.
Yes I am aware how people have been used and then thrown away like used tissue papers. But then, end of the day, whose fault is this? I think tissue paper is to be blamed !
Ilyas and Sohail: let's come out of this day-dreaming and state of denial. Let's open up eyes and look around, look at facts and then form an independent opinion. Fascination is a disease. Why, because whenever a Puppet is sold to us, whether he was Bhutto, Asghar Khan, Fazlu, NS or now IK, our fascination instincts were manipulated and we simply respond like obedient subjects. Its like a hypnosis at a national scale. You guys in the overseas have better opportunity to see things without "khopay". But you guys also fell to false propaganda.
BD has taken away major chunk of our textile and garments industry. Interestingly they only had Jute factories and we were world No.1 in textile at that time. Falling from grace didn't happen overnight my dear. Keep day-dreaming and you will be left behind sub-saharan african countries.
Sohail yaara, "shamanay" mein kia sharam?
---------
(N.B. Khopay are the eye covers or blinders put on tonga horses to prevent distraction or getting spooked and keeping them on track where the master wants.)
.
Ohhhhhhhhhh Dear Isloooooooo, on side you are crying for the TISSUE PAPER and the way it was THROWN INTO THE TRASH and on the other side " You think "TISSUE PAPER is to be blamed????
Why type of thinking this is!!!!!!!
Ha ha ha ha so funny..... & offcourse full of prejudices!!!
Have funs isloo sahib!!!
Isloo Roorjana,
We are saying the same, now its time to take back from surrounding countries what we lost towards them in the past.
Hassan Ali did the same thing today in cricket what NS did in his last tenure.
Sohail yaara, "shamanay" mein kia sharam?
Koi Sharam nahi... :)
Offtopic. Sohail khana i can assure you will be pleasantly surprised by the beauty that awaits you in northern pk. Iv done a bit of travelling to most places both sides of the atlantic but a roadtrip on kkh to gilgit baltistan hunza khunjrab deosai etc is a different level. Spectacular beauty starts once you cross kaghan naran etc. Every hour or two the amazing landscape changes. Gilgit doesnt have much to offer but a little place shangrila near skardu is worth a visit too. Deosai national park is a gem on its own. Not many other places you can witness big brown bears with cubs in the wild. Three mighty ranges himalayas karakuram hindukush meet at those places, they make the swiss and french alps seem insignificant. Pakistan is so full of scenic beauty and kind people but its unfortunate it has never achieved the status it deserves. Things are surely getting better now though. I see much improvement on various levels.
Not sure how relaxing the rain could be in Manchester :).
Copied from Cricinfo :
For all of you wondering, if Pakistan have a 20-over chase, the target will be 184
So if India don't bat again, Pakistan will have to chase 327 in 46 overs. That's all for later, however..
Slick Roora, Thanks for the input , yes I am very excited to see the mighty mountains in reality that I was reading about from my childhood time and wants to also show to my kids the real beauty of Pakistan, they never spent more then a month in one time so far in Pakistan.
I hope they share the great experience after the visit to their friends from different countries, we needs to make our children proud of what we have rather make them disappointed.
On one side they have Rajhistan, which is the source of major tourism and foreign earning for India and we have Thar on the other side with similar Heritage and land suffering from the extreme of poverty and disaster.
Still people singing Geo Bhutto, so the fault is not of Bhutto then
They say repeating the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. What else can one say. Each to their own. Jeevay shareef jeevay zardari bhutto etc zindabad.
...
I have been a longtime supporter of PTI on this forum but even I agree with this bitter reality today that no matter PTI, PMLN or PPP; they are all just actors executing the script given to them.
Real qabazeen of our country are those other guys and they are the only ones who decide the future of our country. Just like back in the slavery days when British Generals/Viceroys used to decide what is best for all of us and what is not best for us.
Until or unless this vicious cycle is broken, Pakistan have no hope no matter who comes to power on behalf of awaam.
Dear JDM Bhai,
I may agree with you also for a while but the script is slightly different this time, regardless of who ever is writing but is making sure the actors to act on, they are not just the scripts and actors anymore, things are looking bit real this time.
Dear all,
Risking the charges of flattery, I must say we are all on the same page, though, still at different corners.
Reading Slick's piece on beauty of northern areas, I have got a better idea.
Why don't we make the similar introduction to our foreign contacts. Tell them about the beauty and a huge variety of tourists places in Pakistan. Maybe invite few along in this summer. Start with 2nd gen. And those 1st gen who have made enough and want to spend on seeing things around. Just help them introduce, coze our tourism and tourist advertisement is almost non-existent.
It surprises me how tourists flock to the countries that have almost nothing to offer, and yet ignore hidden wonders and natural beauties that this country is blessed with. Beauty, that is all organic and virgin and grounded in rich culture, unlike those man-made, artificial theme parks, beaches, and concrete cities and malls.
To some of you, I even enourage to explore business opportunites in this sector.
