Add name calling bigotry to assumptions as well. When a general trend has been mentioned (happening from Page 2 of this thread), in response to light stuff its taken as some sort of a Personal Attack.
Yet to come across a bigot who can resist name calling, ever, in any single post that requires a simple counter-argument, nothing more ...
Absolutely correct Imtiaz, I am tired of this, soon as u express ur view in the moment, get labelled something nasty
I think mostly these days there are 20-30 year olds who are not aware of past events and historical facts
No i dont remember that one Mr Ilyas but your thoughtful quotes are always quite refreshing
" Dubai sure had unlimited oil-money"
JDM sb Dubai does not have any oil. They did in the past but now 90% water and only 10% oil.
Oil company produces in barrels but Dubai is producing in " buckets"!
All Dubi can offer is the " leisure " industry and Islamic republic of Pakistan cannot do this!
Pakistan has endless opportunities of Halal resources, tourism and diary industry being vitally important for revenue generation.
Plus we have IT skills and management expertise, which can be harvested on grass scale.
Might be the things we see currently as incompetent having long term positive impacts.
We all as real state investors are upset as profits we were used to earn without doing anything are seems vanished but on positive side this major segment of economy is going to be documented properly now, good for a country and also for overseas investors to have real worth of their investment , The big property investors will shift their investments to other sectors and genuine buyers and small business men will be encourage to move in and will utilize it practically in form of shops restaurants, warehouses and small factories, construction business might increase and jobs creation will be high. The whole Idea behind is to make the economy wheel moving rather a undocumented sector for hiding black money.
I think will have all long term benefit, Inshallah.

You talked of a solution of state problem no matter right or wrong for others!
We all here dumping country's problems like a kid dumps his problem on father.
Hats off you sir
The above stated step by govt should be praised
"Mulk Imran Khan ki qiyadat mein teezi se taraqi kar raha hey".
-- Ch. Sarwar, Governor Punjab, in his today's statement.
See someone is positive at least. He sees progress, why can't you. Go to Mars and you'll find lot of progress there. You pessimist troublemakers!
Instead of sitting here all day on your cynical bottom, if you move it to Mars, you'll find 10 million jobs, 5 million houses and, what not. All foreigners are standing in long queues for days to catch first flight to this wonderland called "Naya Pakistan".
If you still can't see it, then tell me and I'll gladly posts some pictures taken from hubble scope. In fact let me post one just right now. You can clearly see Kaptaan standing on Mars and those rust color patches are houses under construction. On his feet is the water that was struck by the former CJ Baba Remata.

(side note: please secure your "saadiq n ameen" certificates, becase everyone else has been declared Chor and Daku and barred from going to Naya Pakistan. If your sister has made billions with sewing machines and bought bn $ property overseas, then no problem, our amnesty scheme is just for that. If your ATM running low on cash, then let us know, we'll take budgetary measure to fill up the coffers as we did for JKT.)
Self explanatory. On one hand almost everybody agrees the current real estate tax reforms are great news for genuine buyers that represent majority of struggling working class in pk, and on other hand cheekhain nikal rahee hain just because profits are down for the select minority investors.
Kya ye khula tazad nahi. Happily endure few years of austerity for the larger benefits of population that deserves a roof over their head.

Just wonder, how and who will take the guy serious when urging/threatening others to do, what he himself had failed:
Defend Pls, as per norms. Not for ones suffering from fact-allergies or the ones who have recently found a Messiah.

@ Sohail Sahib...... Brainy Analysis........
In UK, They measure the improvement in economy with the CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY...Because Construction keeps the ball rolling of the rest of all industries in the country......
....
Yes, government amnesty/tax is starting to see results.
Got 4 calls today from sellers ready to accept my offers which they declined about 6 months ago. So I lowered my current offer even further down by 10-20%.
I recommend all buyers to negotiate hard till the lowest deals possible. Also only those should buy who can hold it for long-term as market can further decline as well. No guarantees!!!
Market Decline = Deteriorating Economy & Stagnant Real Estate (in general) for 12+ months straight.
Amnesty already on a ventilator since birth...
Seriously thinking to give an offer to that 305 Kanal Bani Gala owner who has decalred that, worth @11,471,000 PKR: 36722 PKR/Kanal (official ECP docs)
Wish me luck...
You are right Imtiaz.Imran Khan should also declare everything as the law at the full price of purchase. I fully suppport you on that.
Also FBR should change the law and everyone must declare all assets every year as per the current market value.
The wishes have no limit ....I can wish to buy a plot in Islamabad F sector on half price as property prices are crashed now, find me one if any one has.
I doubt any developed area will see hardly any decline, there is a shortage of 11-12 million houses in Pakistan till today.
The drawback could be for the people who were holding multiple plots on the hope to sell on profit one day, their money might struck now for long as currently will be difficult to find a quick buyer but in long run the things will improve as the genuine demand of land in this dense populated country is there and will remain.
Take that as Market Decline, Correction or need for cash. Bring in hardcore cash for same day payment and upto 10% or more waive off is no surprise - speaking in general.
Sohail bhai, there is a shortage but due to High Inflation even basic necessities are getting out of reach. Till USD to PKR Parity stabilizes, only miracles could help the market.
- Overseas saving to the point where deprecation stops for a while
- Locals having savings burnt-off due to PKR-driven accounts.
Imtiaz sb, If I understood correctly, earlier there was no capital Gain tax CGT on house if to sell it after three years of purchase and now this exemption of gain tax is after 5 years for house and 10 years for plot. CVT and WHT any buyers has to pay at the time of purchase anyway.
I am just asking to make my self understand.
So if someone buy a house today on 5 million and after 5 years its worth is 50 million , how much tax he/she needs to pay after 5 years for every year tax returns for that house still used for personal living.?
This to further clarify for beter understanding that in the above scenario the IK's ever quoted bani gala house purchased 30-35 years back on 1-2 crore owing what tax returns each year.
