Senate is asking government to freeze dollar at 150 level and interest rates at 12%.
Does this mean they have some information of both going up further?
This is not what senate wants or knows...... it does not matter..... what Big Daddy i.e IMF wants, matters..... ( you had predicted that Government will freez dollar at 145 because the Army will intervene and they will never let the dollar go beyond 145....... :)

Absolutely, I must admit that I was wrong with my prediction about dollar. I had much more faith and trust in IK and Army that they will never let any such thing happen.
You are also right about IMF being the "lender of the last resort" and calling all the shots.
Unfortunately, as long predicted, 160 - 165 Marks before PKR get any short term stabilization. That Mark may be hit within a month or till Dec 2019 - depends on how much resistance PAK economy and foreign reserves show.
In a Free float regime, only stability is mainly due to increased USD reserves! For time being Govt. Is almost having an eye on Loan from ADB.

IMF is beyond the control of immi and Army or any other stronger institution of yours, if any...... if we try to get money from IMF then we will have to bend to their demands UNCONDITIONALLY.... and the demands of the IMF?..... necessary measures Just to ensure to get their money back safely.......
Army and immi can not do anything regarding IMF even if they have the desire to do something..... IMF has nothing to do with the strength of your Army..... IMF just sees the STRENGTH OF YOUR POCKET..... That is what they are interested in......
Loan Repayment not happening for the first time. Deferred Payments from 2001 started to be paid from 2016. Everyone inherited the mess, not just the current ones.
What Commando borrowed in the name of 'War on Terror' had to be repaid by the successors!

But just think, no one did not think even in their dreams that getting hold of an office means also public service? It always been thought that getting a position always meant:

Imran’s ministers are corrupt to core, yes, but then at least some justice has been exercised inside the govt and people quitted office on charges? The very first stone been laid.

Imran is now getting trained, he was inexperienced and was not prepared for the office to handle the country which was purposefully brought down to chaos by “ trained criminals”!
Imran is learning every day which passes by and steps are being taken every day which passes by!

If Imran is brought down immaturely, their will be a never ending, full blown “entertainment” from the “trained ones”. The drop scene will be even more colorful it if the entertainment ever sees its drop scene?
We wish Imran success and feeling pain that he is not on par but for God sake, see his steps towards state’s betterment.

Just Criticism, but no solutions.
They want IMF to give loan and don't ask the ways of collecting back. Let NS and Zardari to send the loan money out of country by money laundering, IMF loans to be treated as charity program for their kids sitting abroad getting rich by doing nothing. The awam to be fooled by giving some subsidies and keeping artificial economy till it bank corrupt.
we all should have income increases, no Inflation and best infrastructure but no Tax (who is living in fool’s Paradise)
