Is there any hope this would be functional in 2015/2016?
In addition to the development of stalled residential projects, the cda administration has decided to develop new sectors which includes c14, c15 and c16 and initially allocated rs 400 million for the development of these sectors. In order to improve road infrastructure and to ease the traffic burden, special focus is being given to road infrastructure development. In this regard construction of margalla road phase-ii project has been listed among the priority projects and initially rs 500 million has been allocated for the project

No chance of Margalla Avenue in this government’s tenure… And if (that’s a big if) next govt is of PTI then their preference won’t be roads … If PMLN wins again then may be by 2020 we will see this project going through although Mian Sahab only likes to start n finish the projects which he himself has inaugurated.

I have invested in wapda town in lieu of margalla avenue. Hope is the resort. 
If CDA wants to develop C-sectors, then Margalla Avenue is not an option for them.
I heard CDA is going to launch C-sector in next 2-3 months for general public.

What do you mean by no option. I Think to develop C sectors margalla avenue is compulsory.
CDA priority list has phase 2 in current budget. Phase one from GT road to D-12 is not mentioned in near future planning or priority list or CDA new year budget.
One of the motivation factors which is missing for MA construction is population pressure. …infact no body live on that road. …very less people to benefit from that project. …its a long long term project started prematurely. …

This year CDA budget big chunk from C series sector for which they have to start work on MA. 51% of work is already finished. The work is stopped because of graveyard and CDA is aquiring alternate land to re start work

My opinion is that the present govt will definitely like to complete this project within its tenure, even though I doubt it will be this year because PM is very much interested in getting phase II (Constitution avenue to Murree Road) completed first. There is a possibility that when work is resumed, they might award a bigger contract including second stage which would link MA with motorway as well.
