Habib construction company has established its site office in New Airport town for construction of cargo and periphery road.
Finally wait is over and things are getting unfold by each passing day.
According to Geo News TV, Airport will be functional mid of 2017. No Housing Societies can be allowed within 7 KM of Airport Area. So which society suffers now.? or what action will be taken against societies already constructed within 7 km.? Lets see?

It's cannot be implemented. 7 KM is a big area. It's not a joke. Even G-16 or G-15 comes in 7 KM area probably. Can govt buy this much land ? Impossible. No law to confiscate the land on the basis that Govt has an installation in the vicinity.
Maximum Govt can have restriction of height of buildings and this is what it will do.
Come on guys, It’s not practical and possible to evacuate 7km area. Airports world wide have societies/houses around airport I don’t know from where you brought this law or technical standard. One and only concern is high rise buildings in vicinity.

This news may seriously effect the business activity in nearby societies and expectation of high return hurted badly. The area will again stand still for next six months with this news.

In my opinion may be 500 meter to 1 km may be a safe distance from airport area.
7 Km radius around the airport is hell amount of land to be restricted by Govt for any construction activity/ society. Simply, a big JOKE of the day.
Will they be able to pay the people who own this land?
Forget about it..... Only restriction would be on height of the high rise buildings in the vicinity.
One thing more, here we have one black sheep from some rival project, which will try to disappoint people of this area.. He is paid agent, so be aware from such sick minded people... I know, u all are aware of him and you can see his comments above as well..

"RAWALPINDI: The Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat on Wednesday recommended a crackdown on housing societies operating around the new Islamabad airport without the mandatory NOC from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The committee, led by its chairman Senator Talha Mehmood, visited the new Islamabad airport site to inspect the work and get a briefing on the project.
Senator Mehmood pointed out that so many housing societies had cropped up in the area, but questioned whether anyone had checked their legality.
Upon this, the CAA officials informed him that there was ban on all types of constructions within seven kilometre radius of the airport let alone the housing schemes.
They informed the committee that no housing society had obtained NoC from the CAA.
The chairperson took strongexception to this violation and set up a committee under the chairmanship of Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed to identify the illegal societies and take action against them.
Islamabad and Attock district administration officials will be members of the committee.
Giving the briefing to the committee members, project director retired Brigadier Pervaiz Hayyat said the new airport would be completed by June 2017. It was being constructed on 3,289 acres and would have the latest machinery.
It will have two runways, nine taxiways, three high speed taxiways, five aprons and others. Runway has total length of 3.2 kilometer on which an Airbus can easily land, he added.
The new airport will have 102 check-in counters and parking facility for 2,200 vehicles. Besides, 15 passenger boarding bridges have been constructed at the airport, he said. The project was launched began in 2006 but the construction work began in 2008.
Project director said that there was a need to procure 2,200 acres of additional land for the construction of dams and an additional runway.
He informed the committee that the survey to supply gas to the area had been completed. A Reporter "

If we think more logically than area between Lahore motorway and Peshawar motorway toward airport side upto fatah jang rd (may hit). This area layed from specifically both side of new proposed road from new zero point in 1-2 km radious. This news has same potentil affect as ‘proposed airport at rawat’ did. It seems fresh effort to squize some juice from these society owners I.e top city , pechs, airport enclave and faisal town etc.

Pechs is a cooperative society but in the hold of one group.
I was thinking that pechs is govt society. As per news more than 100 societies in airport surrounding. One should ask senator sb. Where was Govt when these societies got NOC from RDA and other from fatehjang and attock muncipal comittees..
Their current visit was to check airport progress whose estimate at completion reached around 80-90 Arab becuse of efficiet Govt representatives like so called greedy "qaima comittee".
I cudnt undersrand the reason why he is smelling around instead of keeping attention on airport timely completion.
The other thing is societies worth is much more than airport worth now.
Whole country is running on Stay orders as you have to feed judiciary also in parallel.
So dont be panic till we have corrupt govt ,judiciary, senate and bla bla.
Predators have enjoyed INNOCENT, WELL-INFORMED, EDUCATED hunts (buying) today and took advantage of panic. 7km is road distance not aerial, only K and M block of PECHS, some plots of E & F blocks of top city are in danger. Rest both of the top city and mumtaz city are cleared. I would suggest that don't be too hasty in making decision and give your hard earned money's plot to people who enjoy such rumors and increase their holdings worth crores.
