Good News…it was very much needed as public has been suffering a great deal and there has been multiple accidents on daily basis particularly between Airport Chowk and kakpul.
The question is how quickly CDA can build this road. CDA is too slow in development of roads

There is no real ETA on MA completion either. I say this project has a somewhat play since technically speaking Army is running the show behind the scene and they might decide to leverage their position on Rawat highway.
But considering CDA's budget I don't think either one of these projects will be completed anytime soon. It's just B-17 trolls has been promoting/selling dream of MA since 2011, IT HAS BEEN 4 YEARS ALREADY and still I don't see any road.
CDA sucks that way big time and people like us are stupid to fall for their empty promises.
Rawat highway is much bigger project and more chance of NLC/FWO getting involved. I hope they build this road so I can commute from Islamabad to Phase-8 little more peacefully. It will help Phase-8 property prices too. No doubt prices will jump from 25-50% right away

Sir, on that your guess is as good as mine. CDA has very bad track record for completion of projects. Let's see what happens.
There are big boys who want to have this project getting going!
They have their millions, ready to be racked, after some nominal machinery start showing up at ground.
DHA valley money has already been taken by Allah know how many and now DHA has to raise again funds to increase development work.
Then comes Navel, Fizaia, Gulberg, even Bahria town and other small grade developers like Jinnah Garden, River Garden, Jammun and Kashmir Society 2nd location, Ghouri Town, Bilal Colony etc.
Having a signal free access is like a platinum GIFT to all of them as now ever increasing traffic is a pain on Islamabad highway.
All these sacred cows can manage with CDA to have this project on grounds by exercising their own ways. Moreover our mighty leaders are only capable for roads and that is the maximum they could intellectually reach up to.
I am keeping my hopes high as not only this road would be seen but also there will be high rise on both sides of Islamabad highway....Allah Knows Best

Main focus of CDA is Margalla avenue and i-12,15 development why MA bcause they already launched 2 sectors on this road C15 and 16 and almost 80% work is completed on ground last week i rode from b17 to shah ALLAH ditta road on the dusty MA road its almost 8kms in total upto shah allah ditta near d12 ....
So expressway work is too far too complete near future especially there is no CDA sectors as well and unauthorised socities like ghouri wooriiii....

Islamabad Highway project is overdue now. It should be done ASAP. Traffic load is increasing day by day.
The construction work is likely to start in May or June.
