Though the word "Moor" originally seems to have been meant to indicate blacks, in time it came to be applied to Muslims in general, especially the Berbers.

    The safety and security of all guests is our highest priority at The Moor. A combination of several measures comprises our overall safety management and execution strategy. The first list pertains to measures against will-full acts intended to endanger personal safety:

    There are only two entrances to the property, one at the basement and the other at the front reception. Both entrances are barricaded with road blocks and tire-killers and are guarded 24 hours by an armed and professional security.
  • The centrally-located property is tucked away in a quiet residential area which allows us to maintain a low profile and secure the peace-of-mind of all our guests.
  • We also adhere to a KYC (Know Your Customer) policy in order to keep a strict watch on who’s staying with us. Anonymous or walk-in customers will not be entertained.
  • With an electronic access card, only guests have permission to park cars in a dedicated space.
  • Friends or visitors must be accompanied by guests to enter the property or must be received by guests at the reception. If either of these is inconvenient, the reception desk needs to be informed of the expected visitors.
