Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is set to introduce a QR-coded property transfer system as part of its plan to modernize property management and bring greater transparency to urban development processes.
The decision was made during a recent meeting chaired by RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, where officials discussed reforms for property transfer mechanisms in RDA-approved multi-storey and mixed-use projects, including condominiums, residential apartments, and commercial units.
According to the authority, the new digital allotment and transfer system will be extended to plots in private housing societies approved by the RDA. The initiative aims to ensure secure, traceable, and tamper-proof documentation, reducing the risks of forgery and unauthorized transactions.
