Maymar Housing Services (Pvt.) Limited (MAYMAR), sponsored by Syed Mazhar Ali and Hafiz Sadiq Hussain, was incorporated on July 7, 1973. At the time of its inception, the company’s main objective was to undertake construction projects that provided quality living at an affordable price - through the maintenance of high standards of workmanship.
Since its establishment, MAYMAR has constructed over 2500 apartments and 532 bungalows; covering an area of 4.5 million square feet. In addition, the company has built 2950 low-cost houses spanning an area of 777,000 square feet.
In 1980, MAYMAR launched its flagship Gulshan-e-Maymar venture. What started as a 139-acre model community just outside Karachi quickly expanded to a 1000+ acres pursuit, as people continued to be fascinated by the luxurious township and its vast array of amenities (that were not available anywhere else in the city).
Gulshan-e-Maymar currently boasts a 50,000-resident-strong population, arranged in over 6,000 household units. The company is due to launch two high-rise residential projects - comprised of more than 675 apartments (equaling approximately 1.2 million square feet of covered space) - in the near future, along with several new housing developments within the coming 12 months; including a housing scheme in Karachi and Lahore, and apartment projects in Islamabad.
The company is one of the authorized development partners of LDA City (a project of the Lahore Development Authority [LDA]).
MAYMAR, to its further credit, has been the primary contractor responsible for the development of 220 ‘Karachi Company’ apartments in Islamabad, the Nurses Hostel at the Aga Khan Hospital, and the Holy Family Hospital Extension project.
