Hi

I am currently looking to buy a 1 kanal plot in the range 35-40 lac. We will start building as soon as the ownership is transferred. I am now looking at either lake city (m2,m3 block) or iep (engineers town near uet housing society). I was wondering if anyone had any input on which is the better option. Lake city in my opinion is too far away with apparently slow development and iep does not seem to have telephone connections which i need to a stable dsl connection. Any input on this will greatly help. Also are there any other good societies in my range.

You can also consider the options provided by zaamin group in fizaiya villas. They are offering ultra modern villas in a secure and serene gated community at a prize location of lahore: raiwind road near thokar.

From there, you can take the canal road to any part of town or you can take multan road to chauburji and secretariate. Also close by is expo centre, johar town, model town. On the other hand if you want to take the motorway to islamabad, it is very close as well.

The best thing is that they will be administered by air force directorate of estate projects, and they are offering 3 different options (including for twin families) in 10 marla villas. They also have 1 kanal and 32 marla villa options.

Yes zaamin villas are reasonable option to be considered; but the bad part of it is:

  1. Narrow frontage of plots, e.G. For 10 marla standard front would be 35 feet. They offering 30 feet.
  2. Being an architect, in my view atleast the design options are from developer's stand point (lesser room sizes, more open spaces with lesser privacy factor, little innovation in the internal arrangement)

On their website and facebook page they have disclosed the covered area of 10 marla villa but do you know the total plot size?

Visit their web http://www.Zaamin.Com/fazaia.Php#page=page-4.... Check any pretty picture of their all floor plan options. You will see the x,y dimensions. :)

B.T.W their specifications are fairly reasonable when compare to other market competitors...

Thanks for the responses. It seems that the fazaia villas are available only in 10 marla. Where my plan was to build a single story 1 kanal house and then add to it later (after 1-2- years). But the villas do seem nice. Today someone recommended central park on frezorpur road as an alternative. Does anyone have any info on this society?

Central park is another very good option for building a house. The development of the society is rapidly increasing. I recommend you to give a visit to central park.

First! Visit central park… If you don’t have any issue with its distance from the main city, then its good and viable option for you.

1 kanals are also available in zaamin fazaia villas. On their website it is shown as “to be announced soon”… But it all depends on the bracket of your budget…
