As per my earlier posts, i have decided to visit and invest roughly 5 million in islamabad. I live abroad, and even though people have been mentioning how zone 2 is better than dha (it must be), I am wary of going into any areas except dha and bahria, even assuming the returns are better - because, having lived in karachi - I know how fickle title to land can be outside these areas in Karachi.
I am not saying your land will be taken away as there are great areas outside dha in Karachi - only that the risk is zero in dha whereas here it may be slightly higher in other areas as the registry is in government departments. Thus, as someone who doesn't live in the country, i don't want to be constantly worried about someone taking 20 sq. Feet of my land away while i am not looking etc etc.
Is this a problem in zone 2 and non-dha areas at all or is it 100% safe? Maybe my assumption is wrong and in Islamabad title is safe everywhere...
Right now i was planning to invest according to the following list (unless i know zone 2 is safe) - and mind you, my horizon is for 5-10 years:
2 five 5 marlas dha valley 1 one kanal in dha phase 2 extension 1 5 marla in bahria phase 8 extension
I would appreciate counter-suggestions
