Cda general power of attorney

We are 6 owners of a plot in d12 islamabad. We have sent a general power of attorney to our relative in islamabad. The gpa has been registered with cda, but they require a verification from us (allottees) in the uk. This needs to be attested by solicitor and consulate. Solicitor did his bit, however, when we got to consulate, they said they’d never seen this before and is not cda procedure. Now we are stuck because we have a buyer for the plot but consulate not attesting gpa verification from us. Anyone have any experience of this verification process and what should we say at consulate?

Abdul Qadir sab, I think you will find these two links helpful:

Hi Abdul

We are in the same situation… we received a letter from CDA asking us to verify that the attorney is still valid…

The Embassy in Birmingham told us they had never seen this request before… we went ahead and got it attested from the Embassy anyway and sent to CDA…

However the CDA has still raised an objection in regards to the wording.

Did you manage to resolve the matter in the end?
