What is means by "management committee of any chs election."
Can any brother shed some light on this.
I think that it means a committee to manage the housing society that is elected by its members.
Members of cooperative housing society selects the President and Executive Members by vote. These elected representatives are called management committee. Management committee decide and supervise all matters of society e.g development work, purchase of land etc
Co-Op societies therefore, have an edge over private societies as their is very less likely to be fraud as chances are higher with private societies. Therefore, its always a good idea to do a thorough investigation on the society before investing whether private or not!
How we can be a memeber in society like in B-17? Do i need to do some investment or there is some fee to be member like political parties where you pay every month some amount.
You have to own a plot in the society to be a member and in addition some of them do charge their members membership fees as well.
Generally Co-operative societies are much better and safe as compared to Private societies.

I have 2xplots in B-17 and one of them since 2009 and i been never asked for participate in society election, or there is no election been held after 2009. I pay every year annual fee as well.Thats why i asked question in my post.
