Dear experts and seniors,i was told about a new shopping center being built in f-10 named emporium center,with a friends advice i paid 10 lacs downpayment for a shop that cost almost 32 lacs on 3rd floor 8 months ago,until now the construction has not started…Please suggest what should i do,should i keep it or sell it?

First of all please read your agreement. You must have signed an agreement when you paid the down payment.
If there is a clause which refers to the timeframe for delivery of possession, you can write a letter to them (keep a copy) asking them if they are on track for delivery of possession and also ask them about the current status of works if any.
When you get a response from them then you can consider your options.
Possibly you may want to file a case in court if they do not respond seeking information from them and a huge amount of damages/harjana.
It will also be useful to discuss your agreement with a lawyer who is working on cases of property developers etc. Preferably someone who is legal advisor for one or more societies - he will have experience of cass concerning CDA rules etc.
