House sold in 2 parts?

My mother has a house in Johar town, block a

We live in England uk

She wishes to transfer the house to her children
Me and my brother

My question was, is it possible to legally have ownership of above floor in one brother name and lower floor in another
Brother name?

This will solve issues if one brother wishes to sell his portion and the other wishes to keep his portion

Currently they’re are separate entrance to downstairs and upstairs but it’s still one house

House is Lahore Johar Town, Boc society house

I don’t think this is possible as it is not 2 flats but one house. 2 brothers will have an equal share in the whole property and both will get allotment letters. The best option is that one buys it from the other or sell the house and divide the money.

The brother cannot afford to buy two shares, and one wants to sell while the other wishes to keep

You can have on both names and in future when you have resources you can buy other share.
