I have read a lot of discussion on this forum about b17 e block’s potential. My brother and i want to invest in b17 but after the current rise in prices we are reluctant. The posession of e block is expected in july 2014 and air port in 2015. It seems like a good investment at this time but we are fearful. In past property market increased on speculation that the new government change would be good for the country and all of a sudden stagnant prices shot up many folds every where. But now as it seems the political issues are not better at all. What should we do in the current scenario should we go for b17 e block for investment for short period of time? Or the property market can decrease and bubble may burst?

I think B-17 E Block still has the potential to grow but you need to keep in mind a time frame of at least year or so for good return.

Jazakallah all for yr kind reply. Actually we want to earn some money inshallah for the hajj of our parents. Hopefully this proves to be a good investment. I’m also undecided between d18 and b17. The investment would be just to earn some money in short period of time till next hajj season. I’m hopeful that through this forum i might be able to get some good advice.
Short term is not investment but speculation or you can say gamble. Prices can go up and down. The bubble can burst because the economy on the ground is not doing too well. Or prices can increase due to hype that will be created by agents about new airport coming operational in 2015. Property is not a very liquid asset and risk is always there in the short term. A rule of investment is to only invest what you can afford to lose. Better to keep what you need in a bank.

Thanks for being among the few sane voices I have heard on this forum. I think no where in the world would you get so much increase in such a short span of time (e.g dha valley), except in a casino. The world has confined such places to the likes of Las Vegas and Monte-Carlo, where gamblers can enjoy their high stakes adventures. Sorry to say that many will be burnt in this game of Texas hold'em. But this will continue untill all the participants fold. Sorry to the OP for digressing!
All investments are risky, the only risk free investment is interest based banking etc and is Haram. Next Hajj season still has a few months to go and I would suggest you take this risk, do Tawakkal and invest and Allah will give you profit. As for the ' bubble' , I think this is only a speculation doing rounds for the last 5 years that prices are artificial , will collapse , property agents are doing etc etc etc but for the last five years property prices have increased many folds, people have missed out because of these fears and will miss out again if they keep believing in these bubble theories. Of course you have to be careful as where you invest and B17 , B18 are both god choices, B17 is better in my opinion. You are likely to get some return in one year insha Allah, more if you wait longer. People who had 2 millions 2 years ago adn did not invest bc of bubble theory still have 2 millions, maybe less due to falling ruppee. Those who invested heir 2 millions have doubled their money .I can not see a single CDA approced scheme where prices have collapsed in the last 10 years , maybe there is one that I dont know of but almost every sector has gained in price and I dont see this as a gamble, this is business .
You should invest as soon as you can. Try to diversify, buy a 7 marla in E block B-17 and a 8 marla in DHA valley. Wait is not a good idea, keeping in mind the continuous devaluation of Rupee.
Again a very healthy discussion going on…and surely will help the people. I personally feel that instead of keeping the money in the bank( which people think that is safe), one should invest that money…in a reputable society /private land , after thoroughly analyzing the ground realities…because the money in bank is a dead money which is constantly loosing its value due to increasing inflation rate. My advice is instead of wasting time & opportunities…invest ur money in safe and secure real state.
I think senior members have elaborated on this thread very well. I agree that people have doubled even more in the last year or so. The fears of loss are always there, if there is no fear of loss, then every one will invest, which is not the case, so only those get benefit who can afford to take some risk at least.

Thank you all for your kind advice. I want some risk free investment bcoz it a hard earned money to be used for good purpose. May be if i buy in AWT will it be risk free? which will be more profitable in short term AWT or B17? i dont want to hold the plot or live there, it will be purely for investment purpose. Jazakallah
B17 will be better i think
B-17 is much better than AWT.
For short term, I mean 4 to 6 months, I will rate AWT better than B-17 due to the development of interchange and its opening in the coming few months.

Khan sahab will the interchange also effect prices of e block of b17? mainly i have observed that people want to invest in AWT just bcoz of the interchange and they plan to sell it afterwards to move on to some other society for investment, may be back to b17. I saw the society and infrastructure wise it is very far behind. What should i do? B17 e block or AWT? im really confused…
In current scenario don't invest prices are increased very sharply and your time frame is short I have similar problem in 2004 I want to invest in G 15 prices peaked same like now I invest in g 15 in 2009 guess what prices were half of 2004 05 and I sell in 2013 as prices rises abruptly again and return was almost 400 times. If u have short time my experience says never invest in such market condition, but if u can hold you will never be in loss in property business ur time wil come.good luck for ur investment.
Rashid Sahab do you think that prices in d18, b17 or in other CDA sectors will be less say in 2015 ?. That can happen only if there is a huge market crash , otherwise I dont see this coming regards
