I am totally new to islamabad property market and would like to know the overall prices at this point of time, are they high, low or at mid level?
Comparing to past 5 years

2013 witnessed a big hike in property all over Pak especially in Islamabad. Average 60-70% increase. After that hike and hype was over, prices came down upto 10-15%. Places with possession and housing push remained stable. Of course some places has peculiar circumstances and it will be isolated phenomenon.
It's my own idea. Other experts can help.
Higher than 5 years ago in numerical terms. But at current levels the prices are considered to be depressed as they have not kept pace at the growth trajectory expected and that was forecast in the market a couple of years ago.
So rapid growth is expected as soon as the political, economic and security situation improves. InshaAllah.
Both the expert given quit good comparison. So market low overall and good time for future investment. At present DHA Phase II and Gulberge are good investment locations. Some other location like Bharia Inclave-I, JKCHS ets also have good future.
@PK1. Can you give a broader look as how much pecentage increase in last 5 years in Pakistan? Any idea?
I hope dollar was for around 85 five years ago.
So overall property is bit lower but still on higher end?
Malik sahab I think property price increase over the last 5 years in Lahore and Islamabad has been 100% to 200% depending on area to area.
Hi Irfan. I see that you’ve gotten some great answers from Pk1 and others but I am curious as to why exactly do you want to know this? I know a couple of friends who specialise in such studies and reports but before I could refer you to anyone of them, could you please tell me if you need this information for a report or you just want to make an educated investment decision?

Atleast you don’t need to worry at all about bad times of property. It’s best time to buy. What matters is your choice of place for investment in current market.
If not best but is good time to buy
Dear Irfan, prices are comparatively low, due to the overall slow market since last one year. Therefore, your decision to invest in DHA Islamabad at this point of time is good. In addition to phase 2, do consider phase 1 extension( phase 4).
