Islamabad Societies and CDA

Dear all,

Are the sectors developed by societies in islamabad going to be taken over by CDA eventually?

It seems that the old CDA sectors used to have one Markaz in the centre but with societies, every sub sector is now having a Markaz. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Will the development by various societies in CDA sectors affect the overall layout and design of islamabad? Wouldn't the old original CDA sectors like F-6, F-7 etc look different to the ones developed by societies?

How is CDA going to ensure that the whole city is uniform with respect to development, services, management, layout etc etc

Are we going towards having many tiny CDAs and as the saying goes "Too many cooks spoil the broth" correct in this case?

Thanks in advance for your valuable opinions

Also in CDA sectors there is a small market in each sub sector.

Any way, I think, neither can CDA manage all these societies like Multi and JKCHS nor will they ever do it. They are not even managing professionally what they have (look at I sectors especially those near zone 2 such as I-14 to I-16) except the upscale areas where CDA spends the bulk of its budget to please the top elites of Pakistan.

Let the common man live in the societies. At least he is getting some service.

Agreed with PK. CDA has lost its mojo due to corrupt ppl sitting there and doing nothing at all.Cda let these societies made billions of Rupees by letting them set up societies and day to day operations are very costly for societies and CDA.Jab paisay kamanay ka time tha ,Cda gave the land to societies or jab laganay ka time ho ga they will never take back…I think f-11 was the last developed Sector by cda after that nothing that i have heard of

If the common man who lives in JKCHS likes to flatter himself with the notion that he lives in Islamabad, then let him fool himself. For CDA and their masters the real Islamabad ends at F-11 and G-11.

Otherwise, the ICT legal limits go up to Sangjiani which was totally a pind-type area until Multi came along to do some decent work. Now at least the common man's dream of fool paradise will at least look real to him. :).

One liner…“CDA is just laughing stock for everyone due to its performance…People have lost confidence”…

Dear Junaid, you must be dreaming, CDA is not in a position to properly manage the existing CDA sectors, how will they acquire the other societies? CDA is a failed organization at the moment just like Steel Mill, PIA, Railway and so on. At least, I am not expecting any miracle at the moment from CDA..... Chalti ka naam gari hy..... Jab tak chalti hy, chlatay raho....

Please, don't take my words person, this is what I am thinking at the moment.

Regards

None of the government agency can do corruption at this mega scale until and unless done under the supervision of the elites. CDA is one great entity for the politicians/forces,judiciary,beaurocracy who take turns to become billionaires out of it, The cda officials only take part of the pie. No body likes to put their hands on it even the judiciary so called suo moto action do not incorporate the cda jungle law. I think in the elites of the society it is understood that no one will take their hands on entities like cda as it benefits all unlike pia, railways which can be privatized and given to the loved ones.
