The honorable court has only considered the coming up of another Islamabad, which it maintained is not desirable when the present Islamabad lacks facilities. The convenience of millions of Pakistanis and saving of millions on fuel and thus the foreign exchange as a result of construction of the tunnel has not been even mentioned. The countries do not progress and get respect in the comity of nations unless its leaders and judges respect the sentiments of less privileged and give due regard to their right on national resources. It amounts to protecting wild life at the cost of human lives.
I have to agree with what you said above. I fail to understand why human live is so cheap for us. I am generally not this pessimistic but I do not believe anything good can come out of this decision.
Protecting wild life, duh, give me a break for God's sake!
This is a very good decision, just for the sake of Real Estate Kings/Tycoons, one should not allow to harm the natural habibat, the Government and people should first complete the old sectors, make them worth living, take possession in G-13/14 and E-12 and G-12, Islamabad, then talk about any such project,
Plus, pls search forum before posting, this is a double post. It is already been discussed in the forums, i posted it on the website the day court decision was finalised.
