Bahria Town Phase-8 Rawalpindi & DHA-3 have large number of plots with Filling and need Piling Works b4 Construction. However, owing to incorrect Soil Test Analysis, weak Structure Design and Poor Execution by the Contractor, either the Piling is not done at all or done improperly. That leads to many cases; where you may find Cracks in the Walls/Floor etc.
If the Wall Cracks are Diagonal, it means the Building is settling, thus need immediate attention.
Retrofitting is a Process of Constructing Piles in a Constructed Building in order to Support the Building Structure, thus eliminate the danger permanently.
It may involve following:-
- Piling inside & outside the Building as advised by the Structure Engineer.
- Connect the Piles, across the damaged walls with Tie Beams,
- Repair the Wall Cracks.
- Lift the Roof Slabs, if needed.
Estimated Cost is Rs 1990/- per rft for 15 inch Piles System.
