Should I Keep Investing In B-17? (Short Term)

Dear all, I have been doing some short term investments in B-17 (E block) since last month. It has proven to be quite fruitful however after taking a look at some of the discussions here on Zameen forum I am a little skeptical as to what I should do moving forward? Should I stick to B-17 irrespective of the negative aspects like crushers, airport delay etc ... Or should I move to some other society? And if I go with the later case, is Bahria Town phase 8 (5 Marla) a better choice? My budget is around 2.5 million.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

B-17 is going to be the best society in Zone 2, i would suggest you to keep your plot in B-17 E block for at least 2 more years, plus if you have 2.5M, you should consider 5 marla in Phase 8 or it would be more good if you purchase a 5 marla plot in Bahria Encalve, Islamabad.

As you have said that you are doing investment for short term, so therefore, I don't see any major jump in E-Block in short term unless possession in announced. To this effect, I would say that E-Block is very good investment but a time frame of 1 to 2 years, it would give good return in that period but not in months as it has already seen good jump in last few months. So, I agree with Nasir, if you can keep this plot for some time, it would definitely give you good return. As you are doing this for investment purposes, so you should not be worried about crushers, all these issues will be there but still the prices will increase due the fact of MPCHS reputation and development.

Phase 8 investment is also good but you should also give some time to that as prices have appreciated there a lot in the recent past. So you should not expect very huge return in weeks or months, although you may get profit depending upon your luck as price increases in Bahria Project without any prediction.

Investment in Bah Enclave project is also good one if you can give it 1 to 2.5 years time frame, that would be a brilliant project of Islamabad.

I myself have sold all plots in B-17 after getting some good return. Shifted to Bahria Enclave, Faisal Town, Multi Residencia, Ghauri Town......

Buying plots for very short term in not investing but gambling. Therefore where you buy is not so important and what drives prices up is the herd mentality, or trying to identify whatever is in favour at that time.

Thanks for your guidance/inputs. Should it still not be investment even if it is for a very short time since the society is genuine? The only difference I see as compared to a long term one will be low margin in profits.
