Raza Sb… Gambling is the name of the game. Real Estate rather Life is a gamble itself. It’s just that some games are more predictable and secure, whereas other games are not and they have a high profit/loss as a result. MA will be completed sooner or later, it’s just a matter of time. The game is only getting longer 
Junaid sb while I agree with your analogy with life, yet I strongly feel that real estate is a consumption commodity with a genuine demand. It can generate good value through its intrinsic demand, and does not necessarily require speculative trading. However, for areas with low genuine demand, I am sure gambling is the name of the game, as you nicely put it.

This thread was started almost 2-1/2 years ago and no progress by CDA…Shameful
CDA had said in a news story that it has acquired E-12/2 land. I went there 5 days ago and there were no signs at all of any acquisition if one can judge it. Crops and fields were the same. Cow dung pasted outside a mud house visibly showed someone is still living. No signs of CDA tent or any other method to show if CDA has acquired land or not.
Another news story reported sign boards fixing in D-12. Only 20 -% or less D-12 has street marks.
So CDA is fond of deceiving people. Margalla avenue is the same story.
Making investment in the basis of some by CDA is a grave mistake.

CDA shifted all funds towards Metro project thats why MA work is not in progress.
CDA is not spending money out of it’s own budget on Metro. Funds are granted by Punjab Govt for Rawalpindi and Federal Govt for Islamabad section.
Dear Malik sahib: Thanks. CDA now even dont have fund to repair the roads which are in worst around Metro project. Moreover, GoPunjab is forcing CDA to pick the half cost of Metro when it becomes funcations (reported in Dawn). I was surprised that our government (Punjab and CDA or Federal) will pay PKR 4.5 million everyday to the firm which will run the Merto. CDA refused to take up the half cost and said it will destroy its budget if CDA do this. UFFFFFFFFFF I am not sure how we will pay daily expenses for Metro. I am totally against it. This type of projects shows that our departments (like CDA) are not fully responsible for this kind(MA) of delay but our rulers have their on program in their minds.
Its on Metro which is making delays in other CDA Projects.. Its the built in corruption of this department...
Once Mr Shaukat Aziz said to CDA Chairman of that time that "you are sitting on a gold mine"...
Shabir ofcourse the Federal Govt is the boss of CDA and it is their responsibility to make them work in an efficient way, but we also cannot take the blame away from CDA and RDA etc...
CDA is a gold mine where every miner takes his share before gold is out of the mine.

I have heard that work is completely stopped now as land is not acquired. CDA is very slow at land acquisition. So right now it feel like it will take more than one year. Is that true that land is still not acquired completely?
There were funds allocated for this project in the last budget, however, preparation of new budget is in process now. I don't know whether those funds were released by Govt or not? and if released, where they were spent by CDA?
It's not important that 60% work is completed, rather how much work is completed in the last one year is more important.
Still there is a hope, sooner or later this project will be completed for sure.

My dear brothers .863 days ago we had same discussion .I dont understand what mericle will happen even if it is build .it will definitely lift zone 2 but not that much what we all are expecting .
Societies have already cashed the name of MA and price effect that should have been on its completion‚ is already Adedd in their price .if you are jenuonly consernd about traveling on it then it is pertinent to mention that tarnol phattak and Kashmir highway are already renovated and very beautifully constructed.
So please dont wait for it it may take 5 years if CDA or ruling party dont want it curiously
A.M sb which societies have already cashed in due to MA. I thought B-17 and E-17 have yet to see some jump against MA. I agree with you investing just on the basis of completion of MA is useless now and better to see if a society has the ability to deliver something on its own.
