As of february 2020, what is the update on naya nazimabad, karachi's lease issues? A new year, a new scandal, eh?
Earlier, in the first week of this month, karachi west's deputy commissioner finally woke up or grew a new conscience (or something similar) and decided the land has issues and that naya nazimabad's lease had been restored illegally.
Additionally, the land where naya nazimabad has been developed was originally given to construct a cement factory.
Naya nazimabad's administration took the matter to the sindh high court which has directed authorities to not take any action on the project. Honestly, seems like karachi west dc jumped the gun a bit at least when sent the letters to close the accounts and cancel the layout plans?
Is it harassment or precautionary measures? Does anyone have any further update on the matter? I would also like to know your opinions.
