In the current scenario there are very very few short-term options available in the Islamabad market. I suggest that for investment purpose you should consider cities other than islamabad.

For your budget, my advice is DHA Multan one kanal file. This project is due for (i) launch, (ii) balloting; (iii) start of works and (iv) conclusion of works. These are all potential triggers for jumps.

Everyone who is involved in this project (including investors and landowners who are giving land in exchange for files plus DHA Multan office) is saying triggers (i) and (ii) will happen in 2015. So my guess is trigger (i) will happen this year and in worst case scenario, trigger (ii) will happen in 2016. Trigger (iii) is also very much expected in 2016. If trigger (iii) happens uin 2016, trigger (iv) will happen within 2-3 years because development will be speedy - remember at the moment this is the only DHA project in whole of South Punjab which is very big area.

In my opinion, this is one of the best bets for good jumps in the real estate market these days. In Multan, one kanal in Wapda Town Phase 1 is selling for 1.5 to 2 crores. And Wapda Town is good but it will not match DHA standards - so you can imagine the long term increase of Multan DHA file. It will be higher than the future price of Wapda Town.

His has more potential than DHA Gujranwala and even DHA 9 or 10 Lahore if you ask me.

I agree with you on DHA Multan Paki-1... It has very good potential in future... But certainly it would require investors who can wait for some time if the things got delayed for some unforeseen reasons.

I know very well that "Mashwra aik amaanat hai" and on my advice till today none of my client is in loss.By the Grace of GOD all are in profit.

Short term in my view is 1 to 1.5 years at maximum....

No short term gains that I see within a year time, but with that said wherever you decide to buy, go for a special plot like corner/blvd with possession. Real buyers tend to jump on such hot items even when market is slowing down.
