Muzaffarabad: The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has launched the “AJK Tax Asaan Mobile App” along with a Business Intelligence (BI) Revenue Collection and IT Dashboard to improve revenue collection and enhance taxpayer facilitation through digital means.
AJK Minister for Inland Revenue and Finance Chaudhry Qasim Majeed formally inaugurated the new digital platforms, which are aimed at ensuring direct, timely, and effective communication between taxpayers and the department.
During the launch ceremony, officials presented a live demonstration of the Tax Asaan mobile application and the BI dashboard. They stated that following the successful rollout of the AJK Point of Sale (POS) Invoicing System, the introduction of these digital tools would further strengthen transparency, efficiency, and monitoring in revenue collection.

The minister said the primary objective of the initiative is to provide taxpayers with a secure, integrated, and user-friendly digital system. Through the Tax Asaan app, users will be able to verify POS invoices, view registration details, access return-related information, make online tax payments, and track the status of cases and applications.
He added that the app also enables taxpayers to access various online services and modules of the AJ&K IRIS system directly from their mobile phones, reducing the need for physical visits to tax offices.
Officials noted that the BI Revenue Collection and IT Dashboard will support data-driven decision-making by providing real-time insights into revenue performance, helping the department improve oversight and enforcement.
The launch marks another step in AJK’s broader push toward digitization and improved public service delivery in the tax administration system.
