Quetta: The Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT), in collaboration with the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), is set to organise the first-ever Balochistan Investment and Trade Expo (BITE 2026) next month, aiming to promote investment, entrepreneurship and industrial growth in the province.
Preparations for the inaugural expo were reviewed during a stakeholders’ meeting held at BUITEMS, chaired by BBoIT Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar.
Addressing the meeting, Kakar said the provincial government, under the direction of the chief minister, was committed to creating a business-friendly environment and facilitating investors. He said the government was taking practical steps to encourage entrepreneurship and industrial development, with BITE 2026 serving as a key platform to support these objectives.

He added that the expo would showcase Balochistan’s economic potential, project the province as a peaceful and investment-friendly destination, and help counter longstanding negative perceptions.
BUITEMS Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Mir Wais Kasi termed the event a significant initiative for the province and assured the university’s full cooperation to ensure its successful organisation.
BBoIT Chief Executive Officer Qaim Lashari said the expo would bring together businesses, startups, investors, financial institutions and industry experts, creating opportunities for networking, collaboration and investment while supporting the growth of emerging enterprises in Balochistan.
