Lahore: The Central Business District (CBD Punjab) on Wednesday hosted an exclusive diplomatic briefing session at the CBD Punjab Complex, focusing on the development of the upcoming Diplomatic Enclave at CBD Bab District.
The event drew participation from honorary consuls general representing over 20 countries, highlighting Lahore’s growing significance as a global centre for diplomacy and international collaboration. The session was chaired by CBD Punjab CEO Imran Amin, alongside COO Brig (R) Mansoor Janjua, and attended by envoys from Japan, Russia, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Italy, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Romania, South Africa, Czech Republic, Portugal, Mauritius, the Netherlands, Morocco, Mexico, Nicaragua, Jordan, and Hungary.
Approved two years ago with formal consent from the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Diplomatic Enclave spans 118 acres and is strategically located near Bab-e-Pakistan. Designed to meet international standards, the enclave offers modern infrastructure, enhanced security, and convenient accessibility — making it an ideal setting for global diplomatic operations.
Countries including the United States, Türkiye, and China have already expressed strong interest in establishing diplomatic facilities within this landmark development. During the session, Director Business Development and Investor Relations, Ali Waqar Shah, presented key project details, highlighting its strategic advantages, sustainability features, and long-term potential for international missions.
Speaking on the occasion, Imran Amin, said, “The Diplomatic Enclave is more than just infrastructure — it represents Pakistan’s openness to the world and our commitment to fostering international collaboration. As a secure and government-led project built to global standards, we look forward to welcoming diplomatic missions from across the world.”
Brig (R) Mansoor Janjua, added that this would be Pakistan’s second Diplomatic Enclave after Islamabad, marking a major milestone in the country’s diplomatic infrastructure. He noted that with approvals from top authorities and a prime location in Lahore, the project aims to provide a world-class environment for seamless diplomatic operations.
The initiative reinforces CBD Punjab’s vision of transforming Lahore into a hub for global diplomacy and investment, further elevating Pakistan’s standing on the international stage.
