Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed relevant authorities to examine three development schemes for possible inclusion in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026-27 to improve Lahore’s road infrastructure and civic connectivity.
The proposed schemes include the construction and widening of Kitar Band Road from Multan Road to Ghausia Road, widening and covering of Kharak Nala from Multan Road to the Motorway, and construction of service roads along both sides of the Motorway from Jinnah Terminal to Babu Sabu.
The Kharak Nala project also includes an access road and a proposed Motorway interchange, according to the details of the schemes under consideration. The CM’s Office has directed the relevant departments to undertake the necessary review and submit a summary for consideration.
The proposed projects are aimed at improving road connectivity, easing traffic movement and upgrading related civic infrastructure in parts of Lahore. The schemes remain under consideration at this stage, with their inclusion in the ADP 2026-27 subject to further review and approval.
