Islamabad: The enforcement directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) demolished an illegal structure in the premises of the Gun and Country Club, along with a wire fence erected nearby, according to a news report.
This structure had been declared illegal by the Supreme Court last month, along with a declaration that the club should be handed over to the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). This was because the structure had been built on land leased to the PSB. It was also revealed to the apex court that the PSB possessed at least 60 more acres of land than the 145 acres allotted to it by the CDA.
