Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal reviewed the progress of several ongoing development projects during a meeting in Islamabad, as reported by a source on September 03, 2026.

According to the details, the meeting reviewed the Kachhi Canal Phase-II project, the construction of a 35-kilometre road connecting Loralai and Zhob, and the Allama Iqbal Memorial and Iqbal Library project.
During the review of Kachhi Canal Phase-II, Minister Iqbal directed the relevant authorities to maintain construction standards throughout the project. He also called for consultations with the Balochistan government to determine appropriate options for advancing the work.
Progress on the Allama Iqbal Memorial and Iqbal Library project was also discussed. Minister Iqbal directed that the proposed library be developed in accordance with international standards and that work on the project commence without further delay.

Minister further instructed the CDA to move the relevant summary within three days.
