The Roshan Digital Account (RDA) initiative has crossed a major milestone, with total inflows from overseas Pakistanis surpassing USD 12 billion as of February 10, 2026, since its launch in September 2020.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), cumulative RDA inflows stood at USD 11.707 billion by the end of December 2025 and have since crossed the USD 12 billion mark. More than 900,000 digital accounts have been opened by non-resident Pakistanis under the initiative to date.
In a statement, the central bank expressed appreciation for the continued trust and support of the Pakistani diaspora. The SBP noted that the sustained rise in RDA inflows reflects overseas Pakistanis’ confidence in the programme and highlights their important contribution to strengthening the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

Analysts say the steady growth in RDA inflows underscores the initiative’s success in attracting long-term engagement from the diaspora, while also supporting financial stability amid external sector pressures.
Launched to facilitate overseas Pakistanis, the Roshan Digital Account allows non-resident Pakistanis to remotely open bank accounts in Pakistan through participating commercial banks. The platform offers a range of services, including banking transactions, bill payments, and investment opportunities, and enables convenient remittance transfers to the country.
