Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) has warned commercial property owners of possible cancellation of no-objection certificates (NOCs) if outstanding commercialization and land-use charges are not cleared immediately.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the authority announced what it described as a “final and decisive operation” against commercial entities that have defaulted on millions of rupees in government dues, despite repeated notices.
The HDA said several commercial properties have failed to pay outstanding land-use conversion and commercialization charges, prompting the authority to initiate strict enforcement measures ahead of Eidul Azha.
Director Planning and Development Control Asghar Memon expressed concern over the continued non-payment of dues and urged defaulters to settle their liabilities without delay.

He warned that failure to comply would result in strict action, including cancellation of NOCs and initiation of legal proceedings against the concerned property owners.
According to the authority, multiple reminders and notices had already been issued through various channels. However, officials said defaulters continued to show what was described as a “persistent irresponsible attitude,” leaving HDA with no option but to proceed with enforcement action.
The authority added that the crackdown is being carried out in the public interest to ensure recovery of pending dues and compliance with commercial regulations in Hyderabad.
