Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Italy Jauhar Saleem, stated on December 29 that Italy’s national broadcaster ‘Rai 1’ will air a three-part documentary highlighting Pakistan’s magnificent tourism attractions, according to news sources. The state-run television channel has already published two segments on December 28 and 30, with the third and final episode set to air on January 4.
According to reports, the documentary would be published during the holiday season in Italy, which will help draw tourists from other European countries, increase revenue, and improve Pakistan’s soft image. The documentary will include scenic Northern Pakistan, particularly Skardu and Gilgit Baltistan (GB). A crew of visitors and adventurers travelled the Northern parts of the nation to make the documentary, which featured the local community and Pakistan’s mountain ranges.
It is worth noting that Italy and Pakistan have rekindled their collaboration, with exports to Italy growing by 35% and remittances from Italy reaching USD 601 million. Similarly, Italy is establishing a gemstone training centre in GB to teach and promote the gemstone business, which has a potential market value of USD 32 billion.
