Swabi: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has announced plans to develop a dedicated picnic spot for tourists at Kundal Dam in Swabi district. This initiative is part of the provincial government’s broader strategy to improve tourism infrastructure and enhance visitor experiences at popular destinations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During an official site visit on Thursday, KPCTA Director General Habibullah Arif emphasized that providing high-quality facilities to tourists remains a top priority for the authority. He stated, “We are working to develop picnic areas at various dams in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenic locations comfortably and with ease.”
Kundal Dam, located in the picturesque Swabi district, is a popular recreational spot that attracts tourists for its serene environment and natural beauty. The new picnic spot will feature a variety of amenities, including walking tracks, washrooms, rest areas, a tuck shop, and designated parking spaces.

The project’s development is being expedited under the supervision of the C&W Department, with a focus on timely completion. Habibullah Arif, accompanied by key officials, urged the department to accelerate construction efforts to ensure the project meets its deadlines.
With these initiatives, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government aims to make the province a more attractive and accessible destination for both domestic and international tourists, enhancing its position as a key hub for tourism in the region.
