Lahore: In a significant development aimed at strengthening the government’s outreach to the diaspora, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz met with Managing Director of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Afzaal Bhatti, on Monday. During the meeting, it was decided that focal persons will be appointed at key offices — including the Chief Minister’s Office, the Chief Secretary’s Office, and the Inspector General’s Office — to expedite resolution of issues faced by overseas Pakistanis.
The appointed focal persons will serve as dedicated points of contact, playing an active role in addressing concerns and facilitating services for Pakistanis living abroad. The Chief Minister issued firm instructions to all government departments and district administrations to take immediate steps for resolving the problems of overseas Pakistanis on a priority basis.
