AWT Housing Scheme Peshawar offers an opportunity for genuine buyers to buy plots at affordable rates. A gated community spanning an area of 1,381 kanals, the society has a total of 1,200 plots spread over three blocks: Block A, B and C. The plots being offered include 250 sq. yd., 300 sq. yd., and 500 sq. yd. residential plots.
Located on Kohat Road near Saifan Chowk, it is fairly developed society and is situated about 12 kilometres from Peshawar’s city centre.
Development, possession and amenities
Possession is available throughout the society, and a large number of houses are under construction, while some are already complete. On the development front, significant development has been done and all the roads are complete including its 80-feet, 60-feet and 40-feet roads.
The housing scheme also has a fairly large commercial area where a significant amount of activity has already begun. However, the market does not have all the facilities required to meet all the requirements of the residents just yet. This usually isn’t much of an issue, however, since the housing scheme has most of necessary amenities and facilities available nearby.
Other amenities of AWT Peshawar include all the basic utilities including electricity, gas, and water connections and sewerage lines have been laid too. Moreover, it has a comprehensive security setup as well. Society has electricity backup, so load-shedding has never been issue. The housing scheme has a mosque Block A, and there is space for mosques in other blocks too.
AWT Peshawar has land dedicated for a private college and school as well. The school in the society is being administered by the City School administration, while about eight kanals of land have been allocated in Block C for a government school/college, though there isn’t any construction there yet.
According to Imtiaz Ahmad a real estate agent working in AWT Peshawar, the market is slow. Sale and purchase is taking place but it is slow and only genuine buyers are taking interest. The prices had appreciated significantly around five months ago, according to Imtiaz, however, now the prices have stabilised due to the market situation. Below are how the prices currently stand:

An option worth considering for genuine buyers
The housing scheme is not particularly lucrative for short-, or medium-term investors. However, long-term investors can consider it– in a few years, they may expect a reasonable margin of returns.
On the other hand, it is a great option to consider for genuine buyers, looking to make their homes in a good society at affordable rates. The 250 sq. yd. plots are still quite affordable and will really suit genuine buyers with medium-sized families.
