The most popular societies for the month of August in Gujranwala for plots were:

- Master City
- Palm City

- Citi Housing Gujranwala
DHA Gujranwala, understandably, has been holding the top spot for quite a long time due to its popularity and the stellar reputation of DHA.
The volume of search for Master City and Palm City remained high during the month and the two housing schemes continued exchanging the spots on the second rank of Zameen Search Trends. Whereas in the month of July, Palm City was higher on the trends rank, Master City remained marginally more popular during the current month. Citi Housing Gujranwala, meanwhile, has been out of news for a while, and that can be evidenced from its position below DC Colony on the trends list.
Below we take a look at how things actually stand on ground and how each of these housing schemes have been faring in the market.
DHA Gujranwala was the main project that brought Gujranwala’s real estate into focus. It is also one of the most popular DJHA projects in the country, so it is not surprising that it is doing fairly well. The prices have been remaining high at a decent asking premium of around PKR 300,000 and PKR 400,000. It is the top project for investors in the region.
According to Hasan Basra of King’s Real Estate, the Phase II of Master City has been unexpectedly slow for a while. While Phase I is really attractive for the genuine buyers and genuine buyers have been buying plots there, investors are not taking any particular interest.
According to Basra, really good things are expected from Palm City and its prices and market activity have been registering that in recent month. Allocation of plot numbers is also expected soon and fantastic development is taking place. As a result, investors have been taking active interest in the project.
DC Colony mainly interests genuine buyers. Its older parts are well settled, peaceful and comfortable place to live in, so a constant stream of genuine buyers has kept the project popular. Meanwhile, DC Colony Extension 3 hold some interest for investors as well, Basra informed us.
Citi Housing Gujranwala
As Zameen Search Trends may lead us to believe, the situation in Citi Housing Gujranwala has been rather slow. The reason Basra explained for that was the tax regime that has particularly affected the plots but not the files. So Citi Housing that primarily has the files has been lagging behind in activity and popularity recently.
