Just a reminder to a link below that dates back to 2012;
Cant understand any logic of insisting on I-Sectors alignment; seems some kind of magnet attracting the decision makers towards area between I-Sectors and Motorway. Following the old approved alignment of KH, NHA can easily widen and extend the KH, build a multi-layered interchange on KH-Motorway crossing to allow signal free access to Airport, accommodate TC/MC and others access requirement in return for the passage provided by them between TC/MC and also meet the civic obligation towards public at large through development of this area and beyond, which in next 5-10 years will be big population center.
If this issue is passed to Imran Khan then definitely the govt can do KH route.
He can remove the magnetic attration of ISectors.
The govt owns land in that area and therefire wants to route the new road from there in order to make millions by selling land at higher rates.
Khalid sab you are right, and due to solid reasons the Government is going to link the airport via Kashmir highway, TOPCITY and Mumtaz city will be given access via an interchange. This plan will be announced soon, all that has happen due to enormous pressure by various circles.

there is no mentioning of Kashmir Highway.
Actually tender is about thalian road plus periphery roads because airport needs periphery road. Main route yet to be decided. Tomorrow morning it will be published. It will be 4 lane road preferably for cargo.
Yes…it was expected. But from Thallian too, road will pass through Top City. Isn’t it? Main road from new airport is visible on google earth which will be connected through Thallian. Correct me if I am wrong.

@Ch Shahid. Since you were the first person to break the news of the new route, may I ask what is your view about this road. Do you think it indicates that they will go for the I-series link road instead of top city/mumtaz city? Thanks.
Sir soon they will announce I-series route. Yesterday i attended meeting of national assembly standing committee on communications at top city site. Chairman Nha was also present there . He clearly stated that soon they will announce I-series route. Rest God knows better.

Actually i was purchasing land there for my project . So i keep in touch with Caa & Nha officials.
So based on this, no more Kashmir H8ghway option on the table.

Isn't it so that no new road will be constructed at I series but existing Kashmir Highway will be used. No extension of Kashmir Highway too but motorway will be used after zero point of KH.
So one would go to Kashmir Highway for airport, enter motorway of Lahore and exit on Thalian interchange.
