Nawaz Sharif is the only man to decide. He z taking his "Share" from the stakeholders of this area. Although Chairman NHA seems to be favoring I series bt still v r nt certain abt main route. Yes it is true Chairman NHA is very close to NS. Recently, Chairman NHA got the powers of Sec. Communication. Since this Communication ministry is very lucrative, so inspite of high pressure from FazlurRehman,NS refused to give portfolio of Communication minister to JUI(F). NS keeps this portfolio in his own pocket. I narrated all this story only for forum readers awareness that why the decision of this small piece of road is with Nawaz Sharif. Shujaat Azeem is pressurising NHA design section to approve this road bt they are reluctant to give their consent because of future consequences if the pml(n) govt. Is changed.
Any how, i once again emphasise with 100% confidence that The Biggest Beneficiary of NIIA main Road will Top City-1 & then Mumtaz City, insha-Allah
Ch. Shahid sb. I am sure u r aware of that I series route will linked either behind Beacon House School or another proposal is under discussion that to acquire furniture market.
Lets not assume that the route has been finalized based on this. Thallian to Airport road had to be built no matter which route was adopted. I don’t think it means anything just yet.

Any body could tell what would be the future of PECHS after this new road proposal.
As a property holder in PECHS I too request if any one can update us about the future of PECHS. Will Appreciate it.

1-Some political figures were in faver to build I series route to sell their barren land at billions. But matter when highlighted, govt have to go at back foot.
2-Govt cant afford this issue of spending 30 billion just for air port link road in this political satuation.
3-CDA and RDA clearly denied for such an option.
4-Probably RDA will do this by his Ring road Project. Ring road will split in two roads when reached near to I-Series. One will go Motorway and second one will touch Golra more.

Please also note when considering buying time,
RDA have no bugdet for Ring road project this year, i thing First Metro project will be completed during 2014-2015. After one to two years, they may able to construct ring road (2017-18) as air port will be completed upto then. Air Port Link from RAWAT, AJK and DHA Bharia must required Ring road. All this scenario may happen if political conditions are stable.
At Present, Investment in I-15 may have good return if development started there.
I thing, Airport access will be via KH and then motorway via thallian or Fateh Jang Interchange only. No special road construction right now
CAA is doing expansion and renovation work at existing airport. It might be routine expansion but is this news story in Dawn supports the view that Bahria Town never want this new airport to be completed? Or at least delay it. Rawat airport rumour last year was also connected to the same.

@B.R. Malik. It is because the government has real on ground information and doesn't need to ask property dealers about when new airport will be opened! Ask any dumb dealer in that area and he will confidently declare: March 2015!!
The situation on ground is that EVEN IF the entire infrastructure is completed by end of 2015 (Highly unlikely given that construction of control tower has not even started), CAA requires at least 6 months for instrument configuration and testing at the new premises before starting flight operations. At the recently completed Al Maktoom airport in Dubai, this process took almost one year.
So government knows it has to work with present airport for about two more years therefore it makes sense to improve its infrastructure.
We can suppose many things,analysis,assumptions , and suggestions, but i personally feel, if there is a will, the airport can be completed in 1 year. 1 year is hell of a time to build any sort of infrastructure and to go for any sort of system configuration/ checking.
I am positive about the completion of new airport after 1 year, lets see :)
Control Tower Contract signed yesterday (2/12/2014). Estimated completion time is 6-7 months.

Dear all. Don’t loose hopes. At the end Govt has to complete Airport. Bas ab 1,2 saal ky baat hai max.
Atleast everyone will agree now that control tower is not built yet.
Good news that they are finally building control tower. So now remaining issues are of access road and small water dam.
If Kashmir Highway to motorway and exit through Thallian is the route, than it will not take a lot of time. Will be just 1-2 KM road. Am I right?
Also newspapers reported that Punjab has agrees to give water from Shahpur dam.

Positive news are good but govt. Progresses are always slow. In reality it will take 1-2 years more fully functional
