@Nasir. That is in fact correct and you should consider 2 years to be a more realistic estimate. The airport project is a complex and multi-faceted undertaking and its completion time is not determined by our personal views, but rather by technical factors further compounded by government inefficiencies.

I am glad to hear the news of the control tower contract although I haven't seen it anywhere in the media. Last time I heard the company had gone into litigation. I hope its true because if the official estimated completion time is 6-7 months, we are definitely looking at 10 months.

if imran khan becomes aware of this road issue, he can press on govt to adopt the less costly option. I.e. Kashmir highway. The topcity and mumtaz city management should contact PTI and imran khan himself.

I don't think that Nawaz Sharif is behind every bad thing and Imran Khan is behind every good thing.

Even if we agree NS is behind this road issue, he came into power just 1.5 years ago. This airport is in making for the last many many years.

For the sake of argument, The man (NS) can enjoy kickback in Hazara Motorway, Lahore-Karachi motorway, power plants kick back. Why would he entangle himself in few kilometers road?

No one is raising issue that why TOP City advertised KH link when it was not at all an option in planning or approval.

Agreed. Govt never openly approved or declared that the link to the airport will be through Kashmir highway, and it was merely a widespread conjecture. It was in fact topcity management which did a lot of mis-selling by wrongly portraying that the Kashmir highway access was a done deal, and made it their central marketing point.

It is now the poor investors who are suffering and raising hue and cry.

To be honest it is Imran Khan politics that is behind a lot of the problems that we are facing in Pakistan. Why not let the government continue and do its agenda for Pakistan. I know why because in that case, pti will lose Punjab again if Mian brothers complete their term and finish all their projects.

Well Ali is having weight in his logic. Dear fellas , i must remind my very experts and opinion makers here :) that

  1. Do u know that the land on which KH link was given is owned by Topcity-1 and NHA issued NOC to Tpcity-1 itself, so why NHA all of a sudden closed its link once "Go Nawaz Go" came to power??

  2. Why once declared that KH will be used as a link to new airport, being shortest and economical, an altotegether new route, which was longer and economical heavy, floated in the regime of "Go Nawaz Go" regime?

  3. Why NHA has once again cancelled the new floated route, because of the pressure and why once again they are going to orignal proposed roure to new airport via TopCity-1?

Dear brothers, mind u am not into politics, but certain things are very obvious, that we common people are always fooled by these dirty dozen.

Dear Brothers Khurram/Ali, You have said everything what you like to say and then say you are not in politics. My question is if this is bcoz of Nawaz then why it was not completed since last 13/14 Years during Musharaf/PPP regimes. Why all these allegations now. We too want this project to be completed at the earliest possible so we can have benefit of our investment but plz dont involve politics here. Thank you.

Actually these are nothing but our speculations.

What is the reality? We dont know.

the best thing is to get a concrete idea of what NHA chairman thinks. He is the one who can clear our doubts.

other than that we may all waste time speculating and will be in the middle of nowhere..

thus, I would request everyone to somehow approach NHA chairman and get his final plan.

Where can we check NOC of NHA issued to Top City for Kashmir Highway link road? Available at Top City website or NHA website?

Approaching chairman can at least tell us what is the final plan. All I want to know is what nawaz shareef or chairman are planning on doing for this route. This will clear all ambiguities.

And yes where can we find noc for topcity? Topcity website is down for maintenance.

First, here is some further evidence in support of what I had already posted a few days ago that the new airport can not be opened next year and might be ready by late 2016 at best. This is from today:

Secondly, it seems increasingly that the govt has made up its mind on the new route. We may not like it but all reports coming out so far unofficially in the media indicate this.

@B.R. Malik. I had checked this NOC thing a few months ago when the KH approach to TC was closed, and there is none. NHA has not signed any such agreement nor given such an NOC. The only NOC available is that of allowing Topcity to do its development. Nothing to do with the road.

if topcity has an NOC for doing development from NHA then it is a plus. I am wondering if CAA has issued same sort of NOC to topcity as well.

I am more concerned about CAA NOC. Does anyone know if CAA has no issues with Topcity?

However, we must bear in mind that all this was before the attacks on the airports started. The attacks at Peshawar and Karachi might have caused some rethinking, but I am not sure.

I dont know if manahil estate website is an authentic source. I xan see that they listed CAA's name there among other regulatory bodies which have issuef NOC to topcity.

As far as Topcity has NOCs from the RDA, CDA, NHA, and most importantly from CAA then its a good sign. I initially thought CAA never issued one to topcity.

again I do believe manahil estate but its not an authentic source. Only TOPCITY can confirm this.

if anyone care to call topcity and confirm noc from CAA and update us all then I will be grateful. And if that turns out to be the case then investors dont need to worry, IA.
