Brothers! Top City has NOC. U may chk from office. Although no plan 4 route is finalised yet.but as i know from my resources in CAA/NHA, new route is; "diversion to left of road just nearer to GT Road bridge and then behind Beacon House school it will be connected to I- Sector road and then it will follow previous route".

The only person who will decide is Mian Nawaz Sharif. But remember, d2 opp from IK, it is not easier for NS to approve this awkward route.Although new Mega Scams of this Govt. Are being disclosed in the media like LNG, China/Turk agreements & Saif Ur Rehman (watch Arshad Sharif's prog; Chairman NHA's attitude http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2bwxct_power-play-6th-december-2014_news?start=567), 500 Billion Circular debt payment to power cos & now Reko Diq award; Shahid Masood clearly blaming Govt. Dear friends, TOPCITY-1 is having proper NOC from CAA, RDA and NHA as said by Ali.

Old route is a political stunt and that too have been cancelled/ put on back burner time being, reason is its very costly and will take a lot of time to build.

The sources and gurus who have invested heavily there are further buying properties along old route plan( via KH) , therefore, there are all the more chances that link to airport will be established via KH.

I disagree with the notion that the old route was a political stunt. It was very much under consideration. I guess what you can argue is that may be it was misused by topcity as a marketing stunt. But the old route was very much an option. The “revised new route” largely relies on the old plan and is therefore much cheaper than the previous proposal, but still will cost a little more than the Kashmir highway route.

Dear friends, sorry for the typing error in my previous comment. I mistakenly wrote that "OLD ROUTE" is a political stunt, actually i meant "NEW ROUTE" is a political stunt.

Further to clarify the doubts of many, that this new route which was proposed via Haji Camp has been cancelled by NHA.

Now if old route is reverted to via KH , then it will significantly reduce the cost and time. Billions of rupees extra will be required on new route and minimum 1 year for its completion, therefore it has been cancelled and there are all the chances that link to new airport will be established via KH which will be 10 lane signal free expressway.

I don’t think this government is lazy at all. Just look at the speed of construction of Metro project including the 8 km long flyover on Murree Road. Any other government in Pakistan would have taken Several years to complete such a project. They are about to finish it in less than a year. Its only a matter of priorities.

:slight_smile: Raza sahib. No comments at your comments. God bless us. I am sure (as you are sure and the government is sure) that after the completion of Metro everything will become good. Our current PM announced that I want to see this airport funcaitons at the start of 2016 but same government shifted its priority from airport to Metro.

Shabir sb don’t get me wrong, I am not advocating for the government. All I am saying is that the real issue is with priorities. Because when this government sets something as a priority, it pursues it actively. We may disagree about their priorities, but not about their capacity.

Here is the report which clearly say that Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz inaugurated airport even before its PC-1 in order to gain political mileage.

It also confirms that runway has some problem.

But the best comment was from Pardesi Bhai that TC plot holders should be allowed to design the route :-)
