Update - Margalla Avenue Project

Shabir, I did not suggest MA will meet with B-17 at GT. It can be seen on wikipedia that it meets at Sangjani which is approx 2.5 km from B17 main entrance. In fact this is what I wrote:

"...Multi has got motorway interchange approved at its B-17 Sector F. Together with Margalla Avenue, it will join its Orchard, B-17 and E-11 projects. Tarnol interchange and widening of Fateh Jang road will also link up F-17 nicely with GT and MW."

Kashif has given pointer to Multi Residentia/Orchards brochure which says that MA will extend from Sangjani to meet with M1, thus it will connect B-17 with E-11 through MA.

I have one additional information, that Multi is paying for an interchange that will connect B-17 at its sector F with M1. If this happens (and if Tarnol flyover built with Fateh Jang road dualization), then all projects of Multi will be nicely interconnected ... Orchards, B-17, F-17 and E-11.

Isloo does it again! LOL!! Bhai mere kya hogaya hai, admi thori common sense he use kar leta hai...Do you even know what a motorway interchange is? Are you even aware that an interchange has bilateral access provding at least 4 way approach to traffic (i.e. In this case to taffic coming from Peshawar, going to Peshawar, coming from Isb and going to isb). How can multi build an interchange when it is only present on the North side of the motorway?? And do you really think building a motorway interchange is just about paying some money/fee?!??

I know Exactly what the information is, that you are trying to present here,but I will first give you a chance to clarify your statement before I state the facts, so that we find out whether it was another casual mistake that you made or are you deliberately trying to distort and misrepresent facts.

Lastly, regarding Margalla Avenue, I am glad you clarified your statement. There should be no doubt whatsoever, that MA will meet GT Road at Sangjani (much before B-17) from where it will be extended till Sangjani interchange to link with the motorway.

Went to E Block of B-17 yesterday. Work is going on at really good pace and things are shaping up quite rapidly as compared to my last visit almost a month ago. A quite wide new road is being built from the interconnection of C & D block towards E block in order to connect E Block with C.

I think Multi management wants to show some performance visible on ground in E block before next AGM.

It is difficult to believe that someone can say that distance of B-17 and Wapda Town is the same from any point at all on GT Road.

The gate of Wapda Town from Sangjani on GT Road is at a distance of 4km. From the same point on GT Road, B-17 gate is 1.7km. Sir please check your google earth.

And as you know, there is a big difference between driving on constantly maintained GT Road and driving on Shahrah-e-Mehr (which is not a dual carriage way).

PK sahib: Thanks. No sir I never visited Multi but I know this that its gate is after sangjani. Ok as Kashif sahib is confident that MA will touch GT road at Sangjani and then from their it will be connected to motorway. So the small road you are referring will be converted to big road (when it will be connected to Motorway) and you know WAPDA Town is right there at that point (where MA will meet motorway) and As said I never visited Multi the block at the beginning are very high in price and the other block will be away from main gate (approx 2 to 3 KM) and the price of these plot is still high if you compare the price of WAPDA Town. Today at possession ceremony of e block b-17. Majeed saab stated that he talked to chairman cda and according to him. Work will resume in January 15 and will be at high pace

So possession of full E block has been given? This is good news.

I was there as possession of 4000 plots given .as per my knowledge e block is 3600

Map of f block .copies not distributed but big map displayed every where. Lot of people took pictures of it .

It has markaz in mid like e block. So now 2 big markaz at 3 km distance.

Work will resume at a fast pace according to what plan? Has the PC-I been revised? Has the land issue near D-12 been resolved? I don't think working on the existing patch of 6 km will bring much benefit to Multi although it will provide access to proposed C-15 & 16 through the GT road for now, which would serve CDAs purpose at this stage (remember park enclave launch?).

I think Multi is not doing a wise thing by linking its future to a single road, like top city did. They already have excellent development and they should focus more on providing better facilities to residents such as setting up good schools and a decent hospital etc. It would serve them better over longer time.

Kashif, on your post re interchange. No sir, I live in Cheechu ki Malian and never had the priviledge to see a motorway interchange. Perhaps I should beg you for a guided tour to educate a poor soul like me.

Pai jaan, I only shared my information on the forum and don't claim that it is confirmed. So you don't have to be jazbaati and if you have more recent and authentic source, then feel free to share. This is what this forum is about... Sharing information, isn't it.

If this was a Bahria project, Malik Riaz would have built the 6 km patch himself and also constructed the interchange.

Putting any hopes on CDA is like living in fools paradise.

dear members i visited M.A .and talked to locals

60-70 % work done .roads are black but i think final layer is

still to be pored (in fact it seems to be finished)

8 -9 small bridges are not build that why there are incomplete patches .that is why we cant drive in it otherwise it is good to go.bridges nor build are not longer then 10 to 15 feet only one big bridge due to which there is temporary by pass .

if cda want to do it it is matter of 2 monts

locals said that work stoped due to non payment.

there is little old road running through out margalla avenue one can easily drive on it .little humps but my city never touched floor even once but may bee cultus or civic do

Thanks for the update Jahanzeb. What about a village (Shah Allah Ditta?) and a graveyard in the middle that halted its construction the last time? Did you see any such obstacle along the way?

Entrance from shah ALLAH data is problem .we have to go through d 12 by using its road then little patch of sha ALLAH data about 2 kilometer distance is zig zag in shah ALLAH data . And I dont know where grave yard is neither I saw it nor any body told me .there might be few graves somewhere.but I didn’t saw any proper or biggraveyard.
