I talked to person walking by side and asked his about ma .then I gave lift to another person from shah ALLAH data till mid of road i cant remember villege name .intersting is tat they were very much vell informed about property rates sectors b c d .they knew that CDA will open few sectors on m.a .. They were not property dealers .their view was ."ban gai ji "
It might be good news. A blessing in disguise. As we all know this contractor development progress is very slow. So either the contractor will start work at a fast pace or the contract will be awarded to somebody else who will finish it faster.
Just hoping for the best.

I relate this news with statement by Majeed Saab at e block possession ceremony where he said that in January work will start and be completed in few months

It is beyond my understanding.
I think this is a good news. At least there is some movement. And about the 3rd phase of the project, whereby it will be extended to Murree Expressway, it’s going to be marvelous.
The contractor was chosen by the PPP Govt and there was a connection with a PPP senator. But the PPP Government itself caused drying up of payments to the contractor in the last govt because all funds had to be used to support the PPP election campaign.
Now, due to the reason of the contractor's political loyalty, the new Govt also does not want the contractor to continue, so they also keep delaying the project and push the project to the back burner. They use the mistakes of the contractor and graveyard issues to stop further funding for the project. In any case all funds are required for the Metro Bus project which is a purely Noon League project. All credit for Metro Bus will be taken by Noon league alone. So that is a priority.
That makes the contractor suffer even more and so naturally the contractor gets delayed on the project milestones because he is not getting any payment. He cannot keep his workforce idle so he is in default of the contract.
In the meantime, the New Govt gives the project a new spin (adding the new sector up to Murree Road). This way they give the the Project a new Noon league colour. Now it needs a new contractor (with different loyalties).
This is the politics which go into every project left unfinished by one government.
Dont you remember, BB government had changed the six lane Motorway project into 4 lanes. But Daewoo still charged the same amount of money in penalities so the PPP govt changed it back to 6 lane. In the process the country paid millions of extra dollars in LDs.
N league to Peshawar to Islamabad Motorway ka bhi credit leti hai al though it was completed by Musharraf. This is a very cheap way of doing things… Whoever does something should be given the credit for it, these are national issues, they shouldn’t be politicised.
I went to Margalla Avenue today. Came back from B-17 to D-12. Atleast to my expectations, the situation was good. Road is wide enough. It was being said in the forums that road width is very little.
But somehow I couldn't find anything impressive in B-17. Blasting noise could be heard in Block B.
I could find D-17 much better than B-17 in terms of investment prospect.
But everyone has his/her own expectation and angle of viewing things.
Malik can you please share some impressive things which you saw in D17. I always get confused between B17 and other societies.
Houses were very good quality in D-17. Most of the plots in D-17 and D-18 are of 600 Yards.
In B-17 parks and grounds were good but houses and plots are small. B-17 blasting noise is also turnoff. B-17 price is so high that one has high expectations when one knows that main catch of B-17 is Margalla avenue and both B-17 and D-17-18 will equally benefit from it.
Gap betweeb the prices is unjustified.

In the long term, it is these types of initiatives which will add true value to the society. Safari Valley in Bahria town has terrible location for a daily commute to Islamabad. There is no new road coming up to reduce the distance either. But it does have Dr AQ Khan school and college as well as a very modern Bahria town hospital. Now just look at its prices and rate of construction.
@B.R. Malik. B-17 has a strong secondary market like Bahria courtesy its strong dealer network, which D-17 does not have. Plus parts of D-17 now have some water problem as well.
What is future of D block of b 17 .i have plots over there and now i am in tension after possession of e block
D block issue is being resolved, but it will take time. Multi now has more land in D block than it did a few months ago and they are trying to buy more. But till then, development might not start, so I think it will take time, cant say how long.
@Isloo. I agree that the forum is for sharing information, but not for spreading disinformation like you are doing! Just look at the chaos you created on the orchard thread by declaring that there are no sewerage lines for farm houses!! Shouldn't you have posted an apology when the matter was clarified by some responsible members of the forum?!
Please do share the gossip that you hear, but when you don't know something for sure, it is better to state that clearly in that very post, rather than coming back to casually say that you never claimed it was confirmed, after you have been caught out. Peace.

In my opinion , D17 development cant not be compared with B17, plus B17 will benefit more than D17 once MA is opened price difference.
